The family surf school, John and Tim Surf School, was founded in 2006 by two surfers and brothers, John and Tim. It is ideally located in the heart of Anglet’s beaches in the “Chambre d’Amour” area, close to 3 surf spots: “Sables d’or,” “Club,” and “Petite Chambre d’Amour” (less than a 5-minute walk), with a large parking area that makes it easy for students to be dropped off.
Depending on your level and surf conditions, the coaches offer the best spot for a surf lesson or course in Anglet.
A FAMILY STORY
Multiple European and French champions surfers, John and Tim, welcome you and introduce you to the practice of surfing with good humor and passion, two values that have driven these two surfers since their early childhood.
More than just a sport, surfing is a way of life centered around the ocean that you will discover through your immersion in this new environment.

We plan our lessons at the best time of the tide and accompany you in the water to guide you through the waves.

Hello!
After many years of traveling around the world to compete in surf competitions and winning several French and European championship titles, as well as achieving two 5th place finishes in the Longboard World Championships, the birth of my son Manoa made me think about my future career transition. What to do after so many years? Live off my passion? I quickly became excited about the idea of sharing my surfing knowledge, lifestyle, and practice with others. Being my own boss, welcoming people eager for advice, and helping those who dream of practicing surfing as a hobby or as competitor seemed like the perfect next step for me, continuing from my initial adventure as a competitor.

Hello!
Yes, surfing is a family affair for us! Influenced by our father and following in my brother’s footsteps, I started surfing at the age of 4. I quickly took up competition, a great adventure that allowed me to travel all over the world, from Indonesia to Tahiti, and Australia. This journey led me to my best performance to date, achieving 3rd place in the Longboard World Championships in China. I am now fortunate to live my passion and have the opportunity to pass it on to others. I hope to share this fun with you soon!
