Terms and conditions

I. Registration

All registrations with JLTC Surf School must be made through the booking form on the website or via SMS to the school’s number. For minors, registration must be completed by parents or legal guardians. Adults should handle their own registration themselves.

II. Payment terms

Payments are made by bank check or cash. Payment for the surf courses must be made on the first day of the course. Any cancellation occurring within 48 hours prior to the scheduled date will result in the course fee being charged.

III. Cancellation by JLTC Surf School

In the event of adverse weather conditions (lack of waves, rough sea, pollution, etc.), the client will be notified promptly by phone. They will then receive a credit corresponding to the amount paid at the time of booking the activity. This credit can be used for a future booking or refunded upon request.

No additional compensation will be provided.

IV. Cancellation by the client

Various reasons may prevent the client from attending the course on the scheduled date; cancellation is subject to the following conditions:

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start of the course can be processed by the school without any charge to the client.

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the course start date, without a medical certificate, will require full payment of the course fees.

Courses missed due to the client’s actions will not be refunded. A course that has begun and is interrupted by the client cannot be refunded.

It is mandatory to inform us in writing of any cancellation or modification.

V. Responsibility of our JLTC Surf School

Surf student will be under the care of JLTC Surf School and the responsibility of certified professional coaches at the beginning of their surf lessons in Anglet. They will revert to the responsibility of their parents or guardians after the conclusion of the respective service.

JLTC Surf School‘s civil liability concerning its surf students ceases outside of these hours, as described above. Parents must ensure that the scheduled service is confirmed before leaving their child at the facility. Students are strongly advised not to leave valuables in the changing rooms (money, watches, phones, etc.). JLTC Surf School disclaims all liability for loss or theft of such items on its premises.

JLTC Surf School cannot be held responsible for any moral damages or accidental or intentional harm caused to participants by third parties during activities. Our commitment is limited solely to the services provided.

JLTC Surf School reserves the right to exclude, without compensation, any participant whose behavior is contrary to safety standards and good conduct. Any act that compromises the physical or moral integrity of one or more participants and/or the coach, endangering the health and life of others or oneself, will be subject to disciplinary action.

VI. Insurance

JLTC Surf School certifies that it has taken out professional liability insurance covering the risks associated with its activities. If the surf student feels that the coverage provided by the school’s insurance is insufficient, it is their responsibility to obtain additional coverage.

VII. JLTC Surf school commitments

Under the chosen package, JLTC Surf School commits to providing services that meet the needs of the surf students (quality of reception, teaching, supervision, and safety). Additionally, necessary equipment (wetsuits, surfboards, etc.) will be provided to participants during surf lessons in Anglet. Our courses adhere to the quality charter of the “Association of French Surf Schools”.

VIII. Participants commitment

By enrolling at JLTC Surf School, both adult surfers and minor surfers and their parents accept the risks associated with surfing under normal conditions. The surf student declares being in good health, capable of swimming 25 meters, and fit to participate in surfing. The participant agrees to abide by the internal regulations and safety instructions of JLTC Surf School. They declare no medical or other contraindications that would prevent them from participating in the chosen activity. JLTC Surf School cannot be held responsible for any physical or other consequences resulting from the failure to declare contraindications.

IX. Clients transportation

In case of using a vehicle as part of the services offered, JLTC Surf School commits to ensuring the transportation of surf students in compliance with current regulations: drivers holding the necessary license, vehicle insurance coverage, adherence to maximum passenger limits, clean and well-maintained vehicle (mandatory inspections).

X. General provisions: right to image

By enrolling, you authorize JLTC Surf School to use photos and/or videos of your image taken during your course for the creation of any advertising materials, without financial compensation. Alternatively, JLTC Surf School must be informed of any objections at the beginning of the course.
